The two Edge products you referenced, parts # EP84030 and # EP85100, are fundamentally different.
The Edge Diesel Evolution CTS3 Programmer # EP96TR (or the # EP76TR for California residents) is both a monitor that displays engine parameters sent through the OBD-II port, and also a performance tuner that can increase your horsepower and torque by altering your engine's tune. This unit is a fit for your 2002 F-250 Powerstroke. The other unit # EP84030 is only a display - it does not re-tune... view full answer...
According to my buddy at Diversi-Tech, the set screw that holds the lock cylinder in uses a .050 inch Allen wrench. Before attempting to remove the screw, I would highly recommend soaking the set screw with some penetrating oil because the set screw will have a bit of thread locker on it.
The # DTLBM02RK re-key kit includes the Allen wrench. view full answer...
There will be a small amount of power that travels through the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller # 39510. This is how the brake controller knows that it is connected to a trailer and the light will change from red to green.
The amount of power that it sends is a very low amperage and should not be enough to activate the brakes unless there is something wrong with the brake controller, or the controller is seeing a brake activation signal on the harness. view full answer...
The towing capacity of your vehicle can and will be likely different than the towing capacity of a trailer hitch. The lowest rated component between the vehicle and trailer hitch will be your limiting factor. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C15810 does indeed have a 20,000 lb towing capacity when used with a weight distribution system but the vehicle is likely lower and will be your limiting factor. In order to find the tow capacity of your vehicle you will need to subtract the gross... view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at CE Smith and she said that the 13 inch measurement is from the outside edge of the trailer frame. If your 2008 Sun Tracker Fishing Barge extends 11 inches past the outside edge of the trailer's frame on each side, the Post Style Guide-Ons for Boat Trailers, # CE27620, will still have enough extension to provide a secure support for the guides.
Something else you may want to take a look at would be the Post-Style Guide-Ons for Pontoon Boat Trailers, # CE27670.... view full answer...
According to my representative at Carr, the number you referenced, # 1272 is a casting number that does not have anything to do with the the fit of the step or a particular step model number.
The # CARR124871 would be the correct step for the rear doors of your F250 SD, in fact it can be used under any of the doors. However, it would require drilling to install. The # CARR125001 is a no-drill application that would use existing holes.
I have linked you to the installation details for... view full answer...
The shank portion of the B&W Tow & Stow Pintle Hook/Hitch Ball # BWTS10056 cannot be used as a component of a weight distribution system. B&W designed this adjustable pintle/ball combo hitch to offer the flexibility to tow as both a pintle hook/lunette ring and as a hitch ball, but not to serve as a basis for a weight distribution system. My contact at B&W confirmed.
We do offer a complete range of weight distribution/sway control hitch systems from Blue Ox and other manufacturers. The... view full answer...

The attachment point between the fifth wheel king pin and the Ranch Hitch adapter is very tight. Threaded collars attach to the king pin, then the black adapter base threads onto the collars. The upper flange on the black adapter will actually bolt to the underside of the fifth wheel pin box. There will be no movement there.
Any movement or chucking will be experienced at the point where the adapter attaches to the gooseneck ball. The chucking would be about what you would experience with... view full answer...
The Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Cushioned Trailer Adapter, part # CAB-C5G, is a heavy built unit. It will withstand the repeated mount and dismounts that you are speaking of. The only draw backs to this unit are that it will require you to remove the collar from the adapter and then the trailer each time you drop the trailer and you will need to decide which height will work best for your multiple towing situations.
It should last a very long time and be safe as long as care is taken when... view full answer...
Flat towing a vehicle behind a motorhome requires a number of components in order to be safe and legally compliant in all states. Those items are detailed in the linked article and include a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring/lighting kit, sometimes a wiring extension and high/low hitch adapter, and also a set of base plates and a braking system for the toad.
I recommend Blue Ox base plates # BX2618 along with the Alpha tow bar # BX7380 since these work together without adapters and the... view full answer...
The F78/15 stated in modern tire size terms would be a 205/75-15. When you need replacement tires, I'd recommend going with a radial tire because radials do a better job of shedding heat. Excessive heat build-up is the number one cause of blowouts and premature tire wear.
When the time comes to replace the tires, I'd recommend a Taskmaster radial tire in 205/75-15 load range C as part # TTWTRTM2057515C with a 1820 lb capacity at 50 psi or as part # TTWTRTM2257515D for a load range D with... view full answer...
The first year the Ford 5th wheel prep package came out was 2011, so your 2004 Ford F-250 does not have the prep package, though we can still get you set up with a 5th wheel hitch and base rails. For those I recommend the following:
- Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Square Tube Slider RP30051
- Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP30035
This is the best option for your 2004 F-250 because you get a high-quality sliding 5th wheel hitch and... view full answer...

A certain amount of noise is normal with the Super Springs suspension stabilizers, especially on rough or uneven pavement. According to Super Springs, the bracket that attaches the Super Springs stabilizer to your truck's leaf springs has two possible sets of holes for the roller to install into.
If the roller is installed in the upper holes, try using the lower holes which should quiet things down. view full answer...
